                                                         earthspirit
                         may my ears hear the music whispering in the wind
                            may my eyes see the stories in the shadows,
                                made by wise old trees, on stone walls
                                              in the afternoon.
                                   may my feet feel the message
                                       in the rhythm of the waves on the sand
                                           that began out in the ocean
                                          as the low rumbling thought
                                   of a magnificent whale, as he dove down
                                     into the emerald secrets of the sea.
                                  may my hands and voice speak the truth
                                           that lies within my soul
                                 so the song of my spirit can join the others
                                                    in the wind
                                             and in the shadows
                                                 and in the sea.
                                    may I be in harmony with earthspirits
                                                 everywhere
                                                    forever.
